Uh oh, the Shi'ar Empire is here and they are PISSED! It is crazy to see people who got along really well in the past (The Shi'ar and the X-Men) beat the crap out of each other. That is the basis of this issue, that and we get Ava'Dara Naganandini, Warbird's, back story.
As always, the storytelling in Wolverine and the X-Men is so well paced that it is impossible to put the issue down. The art is clean and colorful and draws your eyes to the important details on each page. I do want to note that there are a lot of frames of people's heads swinging to the side splashing blood by being punched WAY too hard.
Regardless, it is nice to see what makes Warbird who she is. Why she seems a little bit different from other Warbirds and that she is dedicated to her job, to take care of Kid Gladiator. Heck, we even find out why her job is to protect Kid Gladiator.
As I said on my pull post...this week was amazing. I give this issue 9/10...don't miss it.
