"Drowning in a Nightmare"

Shocker! Flash didn't die at the end of the last issue. Oh wait, that wasn't surprising at all...oh well. He is still in Philadelphia and he is trying his best to help find the kidnapped Katy Kiernan as well as take down the U-Foes...as much as he can.

The issue dealt a lot with what the U-Foes are actually up to and Flash trying to find where they are keeping Katy. With a little investigation he finds them and quickly starts a fight with them while trying to free Katy. Of course he brings a little help this time...his, err....girlfriend? Valkyrie (he isn't even sure their relationship status it seems) who is a great help but is also very discouraged that they stand a chance against the U-Foes.

The fight gets out of control which leaves pretty much all of the heroes laid out...which of course leads to the Symbiote starting to lose control. The issue ends with something that looks more like the old Venom ready to start a brawl.

This issue was actually a bit better than the last and is starting to rekindle my excitement for this book but it is still the weakest on my pull-list currently. I am interested to see where this story arc goes and I will make my final call at that time. Until then I will continue to watch Flash struggle with his inner demons.
