"The Last Frankenstein"
I have never been too huge on the whole classic monsters as villains thing that comics try to do but I have to admit that it is done well here. This is just more proof that Jason Aaron just doesn't seem able to do wrong with this title. The fact that he can relate Frankenstein to the new Hellfire Club is amazing, and the monster is done well also.
Art wise, this issue was pretty standard for what you'd expect from Bradshaw but there is a great two page spread of the X-Men coming after the circus folk. My personal favorite is a lovely Kitty Pride and a Doop with brass knuckles that spell out Doop.
The fight between the monster and the last Frankenstein is well done and Idie has really started to come into her own. There is a great moment of growth in this issue where she seems very violent and ready to do anything. Perhaps she is finally becoming broken, which may not be a good thing for her position in the X-Men.
It seems something very dark is coming in this title and I am excited to see what Aaron has up his sleeve. I am still a little uncertain about the teaser of Wolverine with Storm...I guess only time will tell. Even with that on the horizon, I am excited to see what will come now that Murder Circus is gone.
