This Age of Ultron tie-in takes place in the timeline that was created by Logan and Sue Storm killing off Hank Pym. It focuses on Hippolyta (Warrior Woman) trying to get revenge for her Amazons by going to Latveria to put the smack down on Doctor Doom. We get a little more of a glimpse into the state of the world outside of New York in this timeline but it all seems pretty run down all the same.
Although watching Hippolyta beat the crap out of a few people (including her father) and regaining the support of her Amazons, this book felt sort of pointless. This story took place in a timeline that isn't supposed to exist and probably will not after the conclusion of AoU. The only thing that I can think is that Marvel may try to have a few titles become ongoing within this timeline but I think that it would be a stretch. I wish these tie-ins had been more relevant overall. They have not been terrible, they are just seeming to lack purpose.
yeah, this is the total opposite of the "tie in" spectrums than the Uncanny Avengers one - not only was the AoU stuff pointless, but it was also pretty pointless for the Fearless Defenders Book itself - although at least we got some insight into the characters of Caroline LeFay
