"Invasive Exotic Part Two"
I am still really loving this book. I think that Spurrier has really gained an understanding of what makes David Haller tick and why he makes the choices that he does. I also am enjoying the dynamic between he and Ruth and the things she has to deal with to make their relationship work.
This issue was split between the two of them. David is trying to figure out exactly what the pill that will "cure" him of his mutant abilities will do to him and who created it while Ruth is trying to build a team of X-Men to stop him from making this terrible mistake. David seems to be hell-bent on figuring out a way to not end up causing the future that he knows is coming even if it means going into a comatose state.
Ruth, knowing her love for her David, does not want him to give up what he is and thinks that there are other ways to stop the future from happening. I am really excited to see what she does to stop David from getting rid of his powers, if she even can. I am also intrigued as to how Spurrier is going to use the twist that he revealed at the end of the issue.
I have said this many times, but if you aren't reading this X-book you really should be. It is so much different than everything else out there and that is a good thing. I look forward to it every month and have not been let down.
