This was the issue of Guardians of the Galaxy I was waiting for. We left off last time with Gamora standing head-to-head with Angela while Peter stood before Thanos, ready to ask questions. Bendis took no time to jump into the awesome fight between the two ladies, showing that they are both very powerful but Angela has a bit of an edge (she is an angel after all).

While this fight was going on, Peter questioned Thanos about Earth. Thanos, after being a tad cryptic, state the obvious. Earth has screwed up by messing with time travel too much and because of this, the galaxy is closing in on them. Thanos says that someone will come and destroy Earth, even if it isn't him. Peter, being from Earth, does not like this and pulls a weapon on Thanos. My only problem with this moment is that Peter seems to get away from this confrontation unscathed. Is he really so great that he can get away from Thanos that easily?

Back to the fight with Angela, it takes the whole of the Guardians to take her down with the added sneak attack from Peter. There are many questions left unanswered and tensions seems insanely high at the end of this book. Hell, the Watcher tells them Angela's name and makes it pretty obvious a whole pile of crap is headed their way. This makes me excited and very happy that I have stuck with this title.
