"Mania: Part 2 of 3"

I am a little sad that the last few issues of Venom are dealing with the hell storyline. I have always found these to be the weakest chapters, but what can you do?

The issue opens with Flash finishing his conversation with Daimon where Daimon is explaining what is going on and how he split himself into multiple clones. He allowed each of the clones free will so he can't track them but he is aware that they are being hunted because of their mark. We learned at the end of the last issue that Mania now has Venom's mark and that Crossbones is hunting her. Mania, on the other hand, is still hunting Ogre, who she has found.

Ogre proves to be sort of a wussy and is quickly dealt with while Mania shows that she is able to control demons that Master Mayhem, who is working with Crossbones, sends after her. She escapes (with the help of Flash and with Flash shoving a bomb that was attached to Ogre into Master Mayhem) and they decide to figure out what is going on. Flash decides to use the orb that he got many issues ago to look into his mind to talk to the Symbiote. The Symbiote explains to Flash that it was just trying to protect him so it expelled the demon (the mark) from his body as quickly as possible and the only way to stop the demon is to do the same for Mania. This leads Flash to the idea to try to make a deal with the Devil.

I am nervous about another BND type thing here. Making a Deal with Mephisto is always rough. I guess it would be a good way for Flash to lose the Symbiote though. Oh well, I guess I will find out in the next issue. I am staying on till the end of the ride now.
