Oh man is this book interesting. We were left off in the end of the last issue with Beast trying to convince his past self as well as the rest of the original X-Men to come to the future to stop the power-hungry new Scott Summers. With a bit of convincing the kids come with him and they begin to learn what the future holds for them, and it is going to be terrifying.

There is an amazing moment in the comic when the group returns to the future and they show a zoomed out version of the Jean Grey school where it is super futuristic. It is of course shocking for the old cast to see. There is also a great moment right when Wolverine interacts with the group where Jean stops him from attacking them.

There is a great interaction between past Bobby Drake and current where they scream in one another's faces which is incredibly cliche but for some reason made me chuckle. With the small piece of comedy, Beast battling with his fatal new mutation and the, as Wolverine called them, "little X-Men" deciding to try to go and talk some sense into current Scott Summers there is A LOT to look forward to in this title. I have to admit that so far Bendis has my attention and he will continue to get it as long as this book stays anywhere close to this good.

  1. i also like this comic a lot, although i am a bit confused as to why the school looks THAT futuristic all of a sudden.. what ARE all those flying things anyway?!

but anyway - the interaction with the "original x-men" is pretty cool and it's nice to have Jean back..
