"The Land Where the Killers Dwell"
Things just don't seem to go right for Flash Thompson. He has finally found himself a girlfriend who can keep up with him (Valkyrie) but because of all of the changes in his life he has decided to move away from New York. The place that he moves to is sort of decided for him when Katy Kiernan is kidnapped and he has to go to Philadelphia to help her out.
The U-Foes are up to something in Philadelphia and Venom feels he has to stop them because they are the ones that have kidnapped his friend, that and they kill a bunch of people as soon as he gets there. He does a pretty good job fighting them off for a while but is just way too outnumbered and because he isn't willing to let the symbiote go crazy, he just can't keep up. The issue closes with Katy in some deep crap and Flash is a little....let's say burned out.
Currently out of all of the Spider-Man related titles I am reading this one feels the weakest. That isn't saying this is bad, it really isn't. I am just not feeling as connected to Flash as I did while he was fighting for Betty's life. I am definitely holding on for the ride in the upcoming year but if I end up dropping a Spidey title, I am afraid it is going to be this one.
