"Under-Dressed and Under Duress"

Man do I love the title of this issue. Word play makes me happy. Anyhow, we last left Remy sitting in a limo with guns pointed at his face. Things didn't look too good for him and it seems that things aren't. He is now stuck working for the man he stole from, Cich, and has no real escape.
There are moments in this issue when you can see how much Remy has changed since the old days. He doesn't want any bystanders to get hurt, he is trying to protect everyone and he just wants to get back home. Regardless of these changes, he is still such an incredible thief and fighter that he can be successful at everything. I also want to say how much I am loving how Asmus is using Remy's powers in this book. It isn't all about charging things for explosions. There is a moment in this issue where he charges a keypad to see the punch code because organics don't charge and fingerprints are bacteria. It was amazing...

By the end of this issue Remy is not in any better of a place, actually at one point he is falling from an airplane about to die...not great for him. He is also heading to his next forced mission from Cich to MI13...headed up by Director Wisdom...you know...Pete Wisdom who can absorb heat to fight...which will be hard for our hand to hand combat Remy to take on.

This first arc has been nothing short of shockingly good. I am impressed with Asmus and find myself waiting anxiously for the next issue. It is about time Gambit got a good series.
