"The Search for Something New"
There is no major surprise that this comic is also starting to deal with new mutants appearing around the world and with the X-Men trying to help them by offering them a place at the Jean Grey School. In this issue we meet...well I guess you can call her Shark Girl? Angel is now running around for the school to help recruit because he feels he is the best to do it being their first graduate. We also learn a little about his own new power which seems to be slowly killing him...funny how all of the "original" X-Men have something going wrong eh?
Anyhow, Shark Girl isn't a huge fan at the idea of going to a school and the appearance of Mystique and Silver Samurai doesn't exactly help. I am trying to figure out whose side Mystique is on...is she with Scott or is she working with Sinister or even just by herself to collect mutants? It is sure to come up in the near future.
I don't want to get too into the details of the fight or who gets Shark Girl in the end but the fight is incredibly enjoyable to see and there are plenty of jokes mixed in. Angel is getting pretty impressive.... Anyhow, this is a standard Wolverine and the X-Men book. If you like Aaron's writing, this is worth the read. To me this comic, along with All-New X-Men, is getting me excited to see what new mutants are coming and if the world is going to crumble with them.
