This is the first issue that is not directly related to Avengers vs X-Men which is part one of "Final Exam." I told myself that no matter what I will read this first arc after the AvX stuff but this first issue didn't do much for me. I was really surprised because I really tend to love Gage as a writer.

I am not saying that this is a bad comic, it really isn't. I am just not that attached to the characters of Avengers Academy so I am not that invested in what happens to them. It is cool to see Hazmat and Mettle get closer and to see how everyone in the team cares about one another but it just doesn't grab me.

I will continue to read this title due to the fact that there is a possible "cure" for super powers and it may be released on the general populace. I am intrigued as to what this will do to the Marvel Universe but am doubtful it will have major aftereffects....

This issue, for me as a not long time reader of Avengers Academy, is a 6/10.  If anyone else has read this title for a while and wants to give me more info to help me better enjoy it (especially who Jeremy Briggs is in relation to the rest of the students) I would greatly appreciate it.
