As I have said in the past, X-Men Legacy has really allowed me to gain a new love and respect for Rogue. Gage has done an amazing job continuing to develop her as a character and has even kept me interested in a story that is off planet during one of the largest wars the X-Men have ever seen on the Earth.
This issue picks up directly after the Hive took Rogue from the camp. She learns in this issue what the other side of the war is all about and the conspiracy behind the battle. After her confrontation with the Hive-Queen she is able to connect to one member of the Hive, Tritt, and escapes with the knowledge to potentially stop the war. Of course her overall goal is to return to Earth to help in the last hours of the fight between the world and the Phoenix.
After a couple Thelma and Louise jokes and a relatively anticlimactic fight Rogue and Tritt head off to try to stop the war. Even with the great Phoenix battle going on away from this comic, even though the comic is taking place on another planet and that it is only focused on Rogue I am having issues not loving it. Gage is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers...I give this issue an 8/10.
