"End Times: Part 2"

I feel like I am reading too many titles that are taking place in the Microverse....maybe it's just me. Oh well...this issue of Avengers was interesting and it answered a few questions. The most pressing one from last issue was, "WHO IS THAT GIRL?" We find out toward the end of the book who it is which I suppose I will not ruin it here.

There is another short interaction with Wonderman in this issue which is forcing me to believe he is going to play a larger part in this final "End Games" arc. After that we get some of the key players decide to go into the Microverse to chase the signal they got in the last issue. Pym (Giant Man or Ant Man at this point? I can never follow what his identity is....), Thor, Captain America and Iron Man go inside while leaving the rest of the Avengers behind to take care of the Earth.

Other than them entering the Microverse, some action with the girl within and the reunion of the team with her (whoever she is..wink) a villain is introduced on the last page, Lord Gouzar. All in all this issue was okay...I am still not as attached to the Avengers as other readers and because of that not biting my nails while reading. It is, however, growing on me. I am excited for this arc to end and see the revamp #1 that is on the way.

  1. Yeah, the issue was okay... i was really suprised about the identity of the mystery-woman ... the hair-color threw me off.

I was also thinking that it's funny that I haven't read anything about microverse for ages but now it appears in multiple titles gg

  2. I know...it is surprising to see how much they are using the Microverse. Granted, I am enjoying it thus far in "Minimum Carnage" but am unsure about it being used in "Avengers" as well. We shall see.

As for the mystery-woman (I will drop her name next issue I am sure) it wasn't that big of a hit for me because I wasn't that aware of her lack of presence. Oh well...Bendis is ending his run and then we will see a new arc. Maybe it will catch my attention more.
