"Rise of Descendants"

Tsk tsk Ant-Man, you are evil.... Quick background. It seems that Secret Avengers is going to be dealing with The Descendants for a few issues. For those of you who do not know who they are, they are a group of mechanical life-forms created by "Father" using the Orb of Necromancy. They live in the normal world not knowing their true nature until they are needed. It seems they are needed now.

Ant-Man is now refered to as Black Ant and has helped bring the other Decendants to the Secret Avengers base. The group consists of Yalda, Mother Origin, Urn, Emperor Doombot, Lady Deathstrike and a robotic Janet (Wasp). The group ransacks the base without much issue considering everyone is resting after their big battle in the past few issues.

Janet easily overpowers Henry Pym and Lady Deathstrike and Urn take out Valkyrie and Flash (they were in the middle of...let's say being nude) without too much issue. Especially since Flash didn't have his symbiote with him. He seems to be on his way to get it at the end of the issue but everyone else is worse for wear.

I almost forgot to mention that Captain Britain and Hawkeye are within the Omniverse to obtain the Orb of Necromancy. They enter the world that Captain Britain thought would be the safest, a world in which everything is undead already. He left it in the care of the Undead Avengers in realm 666. Of course the undead in the realm have decided to give the Orb to their god and they want to spread undead all through the Omniverse. Way to go Captain Britain...way, to, go.

I am iffy on this title. The last arc wasn't amazing and so far I am having issues connecting to the characters in this team other than Valkyrie, Hawkeye and Venom. Also, the art left something to be desired in this issue. I normally love Remender's work and have been holding out for the reason alone. Hopefully the next issue will be getting better or I may have found one of my first books to drop when Marvel NOW! goes into full swing.
